Ask About Medicines Awards for Excellence 2008
Plans for the Ask About Medicines Awards for Excellence 2008 have been announced at the British Pharmaceutical Conference to ensure that you have plenty of time to plan your entry to the awards.
The Awards are designed to recognise excellence in
- increasing people's understanding about medicines and medicine taking
- helping medicine users to be involved in decisions about their treatment
- achieving better communication between people and their healthcare professionals
We have two versions of the entry form available to download; one as a pdf which you can print off and fill in by hand or alternatively to make things easier we have a Word version that you can complete on your computer and return to us via email or print out with your supporting materials.

Last year we received entries from patient groups, NHS, commercial and professional organisations, pharmaceutical companies, the voluntary sector and PR/medical education companies. Joint entries and partnerships are particularly welcome.

The deadline for entries is 29th February 2008 so there is plenty of time to think about any initiatives or projects you would like to enter. As long as your medicines-related project or resource has been developed (for use in the UK) between February 2006 and February 2008 then you are eligible to enter.
