Winner:
Terrence Higgins Trust with an educational DVD called Positive Living.
Representatives from Terrence Higgins Trust with Dr Sheila Shribman
The aim of this DVD was to answer the questions commonly posed by people newly diagnosed with HIV and highlight how the prognosis and issues facing people with HIV have changed since the advent of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART).

The Positive Living DVD allows important information to be absorbed bit by bit and revisited whenever convenient, in a person’s own time and space. The DVD features interviews with people from a cross-section of British society and includes information on starting treatment and taking medication.

The DVD is distributed through the Terrence Higgins Trust website and helpline, and by sales representatives from Bristol Myers Squibb, who deliver the DVD to health professionals.

The demand for the DVD was huge with 400 DVDs distributed in the first 2 weeks following launch.
