Winner:
The Parkinson’s Disease Society with the ‘Get It On Time’ Hospital Campaign.
Parkinson's Disease team member with Dr Sheila Shribman
People with Parkinson’s Disease and their families are well aware of the importance of taking medication on time to help to control the symptoms of the condition. However, if they are admitted to a hospital or care home it can be difficult to maintain the timing of their drugs.

This campaign was designed to help ensure that people with Parkinson’s who need a stay in hospital get their medication on time, every time. This is being done by encouraging UK-wide standards, hospital policies and awareness-raising.

Eye-catching materials were produced for the campaign including posters, leaflets, stickers and t-shirts. These were distributed to Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialists and through pharmaceutical field teams. The campaign was supported by a media launch and event at the House of Commons attended by over 40 MPs.

To date over 500 requests for materials have been received and 5,000 campaign packs have been issued to Parkinson’s Disease Society branches and support groups.
